Escape from Tane's Forest
Imagine a place where native plants and animals thrive without threat from introduced pests, alive with birsong, where rare species such as kiwi, tuatara and kakapo roam freely.Those in the Short course (approx 14kms total) then head into the Sanctuary at 4 Corners for their breathtaking circuit.The Long course (approx 25kms total) trailrunners ascend Fringed Hill (793m) pausing occasionally to view the panoramic picture postcard of Nelson City and Tasman Bay way below.

The course is approximately 26km from Ship Cove to Punga Cove/Camp Bay along the Queen Charlotte Track in the Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand. An enjoyable active day with lunch, prizegiving buffet and boat transport included. All transport is from Picton.

TransRockies Run
Starting in Buena Vista, Colorado and finishing in Beaver Creek, route will have a total of 193 km of single-track and double track through the historic wild west of the high Colorado Rockies. Along the way, runners will travel for six stages along the Continental Divide, cross high mountain summits, traverse alpine meadows and enjoy a true wilderness experience. 6 days team, 3 days solo.

Seven valleys, 71 glaciers, 400 summits... The Mont Blanc range is fascinating.Ascension of high passes (col de Voza, col du Bonhomme, col de la Seigne, grand col Ferret) as well as the ridge of the Mont favre, the Bertone Refuge, Bovine, Tseppes and T?te au vent. Downhill tracks towards Saint Gervais, Courmayeur, La Fouly, Trient and Vallorcine.

Great Barrier Island Wharf to Wharf Marathon 2012
The Great Barrier Island Wharf to Wharf Marathon begins at Port FitzRoy wharf and finishes at Tryphena wharf. Walk, Run, Mountain Bike. Full Marathon or Half Marathon. Participants will experience rugged native bush, kauri, nikau, manuka, fern and some of the most unspoilt native forest left in New Zealand. The course reaches an elevation of 180 metres.

Subway Dun Run
From the Maitai Dam, the route ascends the Dun Mountain Saddle (875m) following the south branch of the Maitai River. Taking the Coppermine Saddle track and downhill along New Zealand's first railway line, along New Zealand's first railway line, finishing at the The Brook Waimarama Sanctuary, Brook Street, Nelson. This is a testing run - but not impossible. Approximately 22km

This event replaces the Flagpole Run Up from 2010 and earlier.

The ASICS Kepler Challenge Mountain Run is described as "the jewel in NZ's mountain running calendar", while it's sister event the ASICS Luxmore Grunt is justifiably respected. Both events are organized by a voluntary committee with the support, on race day, of approximately 200 Te Anau residents. This gives the event a truly "community" feel.

The Croesus Crossing is an annual 26K off road trail run on the Croesus Track from Barrytown to Blackball on the West Coast of New Zealand. This is a demanding adventure run and it is recommended that competitors be capable of completing a half marathon in under 2.15 hours or be of comparable fitness.

Buller Gorge Marathon
New Zealand's most scenic marathon course commences at Hawkes Crag and heads up the gorge to a turning point near Berlins. Then back down the scenic, undulating Buller Gorge Highway to a finish at Victoria Square, Westport. The half marathon is a one-way run starting near the Ohika-iti River Bridge and also finishing at Victoria Square. Both full and half marathon courses are certified. Every kilometre is clearly marked.

Tarawera Ultramarathon
An adventure, an endurance event, a 100km-long scenic buffet. The Vibram Tarawera Ultra is a 100, 85 or 60km trail ultra. distance run from Rotorua to Kawerau, New Zealand. Along way you'll pass through exotic forestry, native bush, lakes, waterfalls and follow a beautiful river. Most of the run is on single track trails or forestry roads. You can compete as a solo athlete or in a relay team. There will be buffet aid stations, drop bags, pacers, spot prizes and free hotpools at the finish.
