Swim Coach Dan Abel is part of our CP coaching network. During our fresh Canterbury winters, Dan bases himself in the UK Here, he comments on our strength conditioning tip Plantar Flexion.

 "I have a number of swimmers out here in the UK right now with limited range of motion and are basically using their feet as sea drogues when swimming. While kick isn’t as important in the triathlon , foot position is (to minimise drag) and winter is a great time to work on this. I’ve included a link as is shows a swimmer with great ankle flexibility, imagine the contrary position with toes pointing straight down to the bottom of the pool? Have you tried it?"
