Don't hibernate this winter use the fun and enthusiasm of our team to make sure that you are in good shape when spring arrives.

Your programme will consist of group training sessions, running technique sessions and heaps more.

Team CP is for everyone, from those running their first 10km to those wanting to set a 1/2 marathon PB.

Group runs 6-7pm. 

Tuesday - This session is held at Francis Reserve, Westmorland (6-7pm) which allows us to use some great terrain. It is an off road running session that will include flat and some hill running.  No matter what your level, running on hills is an important part of your development to improve your strength and take your fitness to the next level.

Thursday -  This session is held at Hagley Park (6-7pm). A more gentle session than Tuesday's session as it is all on the flat. You will complete a variety of intervals from long and steady to short and sharp, as well as a number of technique drills to make you an efficient speedy runner!

Running Technique

Train smarter and get your running technique reviewed by our expert run coaches Karen and Simon. Good technique will enable you to run more efficiently and comfortably.  Give yourself a head start; run faster and reduce the chance of injury! Contact us if you would like to book in for this.

Your Training Programme

You will receive a Complete Performance training programme that is designed by Karen Muller specifically for the event that you are training towards.  You will be guided through this detailed training programme each week which includes duration, intensity and specific details for each session.

Weekly training tips 

Every Monday our weekly training tip will arrive in your inbox so you can continue to learn.  In the group sessions your coach will build on this tip to answer any questions that you may have.  These tips cover everything from Nutrition to recovery to event planning so that you fully prepared. 

Options

We have 2 start dates on this programme depending on whether you need a longer build up or just need to get up to speed for the event.  
You can also choose to attend either 1 or both group sessions per week.

10 weeks - Start 9th July

  • $145 (both sessions per week)
  • $110 (if you want to choose just the weekly hill or the flat session)

6 weeks - Start 6th August

  • $95 (both sessions per week)
  • $70 (if you want to choose just the weekly hill or the flat session)

FAQ's 

The programme has started can I still join?

Yes absolutely, we have two start dates for the programme you can choose to either get a discount on the programme or extend your membership after the Kaikoura Whale Run.

I am just a beginner - will I be able to keep up?

We recommend that you start at our Thursday session as it is a flat session. Your run will be structured so no matter what your ability, you can challenge yourself at your own level.  We incorporate a series of intervals and laps to run as well as fun team games so everyone can set their own pace and gather together at the end of the challenge.  Everyone will finish the interval at the same time, some people will just run further than others.

We have multiple coaches available at our first session of the programme to make sure that everyone is catered for and you can find others of a similar level to run with. As the programme continues you will develop your running together and motivate each other to improve.

I have run a couple of half marathons is this for me?

Yes - we have runners of all abilities from those that are walk running to those that are running 3 hour marathons. Therefore you will find people that are a similar level to yourself and our experienced coaches (Karen and Simon) will extend you.
