Kayak coach – Rosie Shakespeare

I have been paddling since 1997. I started for Coast to Coast teams in 1998. I realised very quickly that kayaking was something I really loved, so after a year, upgraded from my trusty Esprit to a Sprinter. Many years of fun and competition were had in this boat until I moved up again into a UFO, I continue to have a blast in this boat and paddle it for river skills and the just the pure fun of it!  My main focus is the K1 and in 2004 I switched to K1 Marathon and sprint with the goal of paddling in the World K1 marathon champs in Perth, I achieved this goal and learnt a lot (still learning!) along the way!I am passionate about helping kayakers get the best out of themselves and get a real kick out of seeing them improve while hopefully enjoying it as much as I do. I can help you with learning the basic paddle technique, improving your river skills right through to honing your performance to take your paddling to the next level. My personal aim in the boat is to leave no stone unturned in my journey to be the best paddler that I can be and I would love to help you do the same,

Rosie
