To perform at your best you must be strong and flexible.  Strong enough to transfer power created by your legs and torso to your paddle, strong enough to hold your upper body stable while cycling, flexible enough to stride out properly as you run and be able to perform an efficient full stroke as you swim.

The muscle balance assessment tests your flexibility as well as your strength. It is paramount to your performance that you are stretching areas of your body that are tight or restrictive and are strengthening any “weak links” and doing specific exercises that will transfer well to your sport. The result is a program that is custom built for you, not  just a generic strength training program.

Form Fitness designs functional training programs as a result of the muscle balance assessment with your individual needs in mind.  Functional training is a comprehensive approach to training that addresses all performance components necessary to achieve success in any target activity.

Form Fitness will help to:

  • Decrease your risk of injury
  • Develop greater balance, stability and a strong, more functional core which will improve your athletic performance.
  • Increase your potential by helping you move more efficiently.

Depending on your requirements Form Fitness can develop a functional training programme for you to perform at home or in their studio and they will regularly update it so you can continue to improve.

“Hey thanks for putting me onto Jen, I was impressed with her knowlege of cycling related muscle balance issues and with the little foam rolly thing! ” Nick Emery, Mountain Biker – Age Group National Series Winner 30-39 (March 2009)
