Performance Assessment

CP is ready to start

Regular individual consultations are a great way to keep in close contact with your coach and therefore make sure that you are focussed in your training and making the most of each session that you do. Some of the key things covered in most consultations are:

  1. Review progress - analyse Heart Rate, GPS, Power Meter data.
  2. Evaluate your current training condition (injuries, sickness, stress etc) and adjusting your training accordingly.
  3. Goal setting for the next period.
  4. Training targets - giving you specific guidelines about key sessions that you will need to complete until your next meeting e.g. developing key sessions for you to do in your cycling, running, swimming or kayaking each week.
  5. Construct event plans for your upcoming races
  6. Helping you to evaluate your performance in previous races.

Others use these consultations to help get feedback on training schedules that they have written themselves or to help personalise generic training programmes that can be found on most event websites.
