With the tour on the big screen, follow your favourite riders… attack them on the famous climbs… and win the sprint FINISH!!
Our popular Tour de Spin class is a chance to develop your fitness, strength, leg speed and technique. Come along to have a good workout in a fun, social environment.
How do we do it? Basically we encourage you to ride as hard as you can and it is our job to take your mind off just how much effort that you are putting in. This is achieved through the Tour on the big screen, the music and off course the team challenges and sprints against each other… we have also had the odd theme night Top Gun and Grease were hits last season.
You will set your bike up on a windtrainer (so it doesn’t go anywhere while you are riding) and complete lots of sprints, technique drills, and a few fun games to keep it interesting… The great thing about this session is that you are encouraged to push yourself but everyone stays together no matter your level and it is good fun.

When:
- Mixed – Wednesday set up from 4.40pm start at 5pm sharp
- Mixed – Wednesday set up from 6pm start at 6.20pm sharp
- Mixed - Thursday set up from 4.40pm start at 5pm sharp
- Mixed – Thursdayset up from 6pm start at 6.20pm sharp

Parking: There is parking around the back of the shop off Tuam street. There is also free parking beside the old R&R shop on Lichfield street which is a block away.
Availability: Must book a day in advance to ensure place. If you can’t make it please get in touch with Richard or Kim 24 hours prior to the class to cancel your booking so someone else can make use of it. If not you will be charged for the class.
To Book: Email or txt Richard, Kim, or Debbie, who will reply to confirm your booking and place your name on the list for the up coming week. You can only book one week in advance.
Cost:
- Your first session is free (includes windtrainer)
- Casual class – NZ$15 – (per session)
- Concession card – NZ$60 (6 sessions) or NZ$110 (12 sessions)
What to bring:
Your own bike (Road or MTB with a slick trye on the back wheel), towel, water bottle, cycle gear, wind trainer (also available from R&R sport), running shoes (optional), heart rate monitor (if you have one) a warm change of clothes, a post exercise snack and lots of enthusiasm!
