My Role with Complete Performance:
I am a Nutritionist and personal trainer. My focus is sports nutrition and nutrition for health and weight manipulation. I also offer one-on-one personal training for strength and conditioning to prevent injuries, to develop strength and fitness to support sport-specific training, and to assist with weight loss and lean mass gain.

Why I love my job / sport:
I love my job because I know how much of an influence nutrition and strength development has on building the foundation of a healthy lifestyle and reaching personal potential in sports performance. I find it rewarding to be a part of a group helping others to reach their goals in all areas that affect health and performance and I enjoy seeing the pleasure and success that it brings people. I love cycling because it gives a feeling of freedom and adventure, it takes you places, you can meet like-minded people, and achieve things you set your mind to.

Recommended Event:
The Goldrush mulitsport event was life changing! The road trip down there, the carb loading to prepare for the race, the awesome team, the friendly atmosphere, and the race itself was not only challenging but was set amongst a stunning setting in Central Otago. It is well worth doing if you put in the hard training and get your nutrition right!

Inspirational quote:
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. I love this one because I believe you can learn and grow from everything you do, even if it is a struggle at the time later you will of developed and be better off from the experience. Getting out of your comfort zone should be a daily occurrence.

Favourite recovery food:
My home made recovery smoothie (protein + carbohydrate) and muffin! Icy cold, refreshing, tasty and nutritious. You will just have to ask me about the recipes and try it for yourself!
