Teva Big day out of the office – Methven
Posted on November 30, 2009
Well done to all those people who completed the Teva Multisport race this weekend. It was a good chance to check out how everyone was progressing before the Coast to Coast in February. The weather made it a tough day out and therefore slowed the times compared to previous years. Well done to Ruth Chapman, Alastair Hines, Sam Evans, Lisa Morrison, Glen Hedges, Miles Watson, Debbie Johnson, Kerryn and Mark Ford, Hilary Cave and Katharina Scheultz.

South Island Half Ironman, 28th November
Posted on November 29, 2009
Well done to all our Complete Performance Athletes who competed at the Half Ironman this weekend in Ashburton. It was quite a fast course, and we had some great results and personal bests. The swim in particular was fast- 2 laps around the buoys, (unless you’re Andy and swam 3 laps of it!). The flat 3 lap run seemed hard yakka for most people, whether it was the flat running, or lack of sustenance that effected them. Overall some good lessons were learned for those carrying on to do Challenge Wanaka and Half Challenge Wanaka…Bring it on!
Scott McNab, Andy Frankenschmidt, Shane Lynch, Matt Cody Andrew Taylor, Nadia MacLaren, Nadine Voice.
Olympic Distance- Zarnia Morrison and Toni Watts.

Rod Armstrong- Source to Sea
Posted on November 17, 2009
“Overall I’m really happy with the result and how the day went. In my head I wanted to go under 5hrs (ended up with 4hrs 39mins), and I wanted to be in the top third of the field. I achieved both of those things. I think the winning time was about 15mins slower than last year because of the nasty head wind all the way down the gorge”.
Well done Rod, a superb effort riding 160km into a head wind!

Zarnia Morrison’s World long distance Tri – Race report
Posted on November 16, 2009
“How did I qualify for this race? Sharon Brophy decided it was a good idea for me to fill in the selection form when we competed at the Tauranga Half Ironman in January. Sharon was there to qualify, I was there as part of my build up to Ironman NZ in March. So I filled in the form never expecting to qualify and thought nothing of it until early Feb when Iain emailed me to say I had been named on the team! Well I was very excited, not every day you get the chance to represent your country in a sport. So after checking out that the swim was not going to take place in the ocean, I decided to enter. Little did I know that the swim was still going to be so tough!”

Scott McNab: Pounawea Sprint Tri
Posted on November 12, 2009
‘Weekend went pretty well. I had lots of fun. It would be a stunning race on a nice sunny day and was very well organized. (On Saturday there was a gale force wind blowing people off their mtn bikes!)
2nd overall. Happy with that and gave me a good indication of where things are at. Felt strong during the race and felt still kinda good at the end of the race’.
Well done on your podium finish Scott!
