Well done to everybody that took part in our cycle skills course on Saturday. It was fantastic to see confidence develop over the course of the day as a result of becoming more proficient in handling your bike and dealing with other riders in a bunch. Thanks for your enthusiasm and I look forward to seeing you all out on the road enjoying your riding.

Dates to stay clear of the Waimak

The NZ Jet boat Marathon Champs are happening later this month and got the dates and places, these things travel really fast and do not have the same manoeuvrability/avoidance capabilities of most of the jet boats we encounter so staying out of their way is wise.
The format is as follows:
Sunday 21st Sept 11:30am- Waimak Criterion. Motorway bridge to about the pylons – multi lap
Mon 22nd Waiau River 10am Spotswood to Hanmer, 2pm Hanmer to Waiau township
Tues 23rd Rakaia River 10am Lagoon to Gorge, 2pm gorge to lagoon.
Wed 24th Waitaki 9am SH1 bridge to Kurow, 12.30 return
Friday 26th Waimak 10am SH1bridge to Woodstock 2pm return
Saturday 27th Waimak-Criterion again 9am.
