Cycle skills course postponed
Posted on July 25, 2008
As you will have noticed it is a little cold out today… and the weather forecast currently doesn’t look fantastic for Saturday either. Since we will be outside learning and practicing riding outside for the majority of the day it is important that the weather is favourable. Therefore we have postponed Saturdays course to our next date of the 20th of September. If this date doesn’t suit the next course after this will be run on the 1st of November.

Anyone keen for a paddle?
Posted on July 17, 2008
There were opportunities for course records at the Brass Monkey kayak race last weekend. The river was flowing from back to bank (see photo) giving paddlers had the opportunity to take a straight line approach down the course. Sensibly the race organisers called the race off as if anyone fell out the get out point would probably be Sumner if you were lucky. There will be some interesting new route choices as a result which will make for some interesting racing next weekend.

Run for Yvonne
Posted on July 17, 2008
Well done on all those that come out to enjoy a fantastic day out on Sunday and take part in the run for Yvonne. It was great to see so many people taking part to support Yvonne and her family through a very tough time. I am not aware of the official numbers but many more people than expected took part, approximately 1600 and raised $40 000 double the initial target of $20 000 (correct me if I am wrong).

Blenheim Cycle skills course a success!!
Posted on July 3, 2008
We had a fantastic time in Blenheim delivering our cycle skills course. We received heaps of great feedback – here is what Pete Halligan (the brains behind the Graperide) had to say.
“Thank you to Complete Performance for the cycle workshop Richard and his team put on for our group of Marlborough riders. It was simply amazing to see the improvements the riders made in what was sometimes literally minutes of putting instructions into practice. All the riders appreciated the friendly and fun way the sessions were delivered. For me as an event organiser it is was pleasing to see the skills being elevated to a level where I know these riders will be more proficient on the road making the events they ride in safer environments for both themselves and the riders around them.” Pete Halligan (Graperide)
