South Island 1/2 Ironman
Posted on November 27, 2007
Nadine Voice completed her first 1/2 Ironman on Saturday. Her race was going to plan until she got off the bike and realised she had underestimated the previous 90km on the road as the run was tough, however to battle on and finish when the going gets tough makes reaching the finish line even sweeter. 2nd place in her age group was also a nice bonus…
“Not sure what to say except thanks and can we do it all again?? Imagine how much better I will go when I give you more than 8 weeks to whip me into shape!!”

Taupo – mission complete
Posted on November 27, 2007
Complete Performance had three riders competing in the lake Taupo Cycle Challenge last weekend.
Graeme Allen rode a quick warm up lap before racing the second and completed them in a very good time of 10 hours and 42 minutes.
Tina Murphy had a goal of riding the event in under 5.30 and she easily eclipsed that by finishing in 5.18 and being “fresh as a daisy” as she crossed the finishing tape. Therefore Tina has some unfinished business to see how quick she can really go by putting her body on the line next time.
Anita Paling had a great day out lapping the lake in exactly 6 hours and riding hard right to the finish;
“As I was coming into the Taupo township I was zooming up to a lady (Jane) and I yelled at her “come on Jane, get moving, we can do it”, so she put the pedal to the medal and we raced each other in, then I thought “bugger, I can’t let her get there before me” so I gave it one last burst and I powered to the finish line.”

Voice improves time by almost 5 minutes…
Posted on November 8, 2007
Nadine Voice completed the second Contours Triathlon in the build up to her big goal of the season the South Island 1/2 Ironman in Ashburton. While being “a bit crook” she still managed to improve her previous personal best by almost 5 minutes which is an amazing result for a race lasting an hour!
Those hard pills that we have been feeding Nadine must be working.
